Hegedus will join the panel discussion on ¡°Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Designing a Better Future¡± in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number nine. She will highlight The LYCRA Company¡¯s previously announced collaboration with Qore¢ç to use its QIRA¢ç product to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of LYCRA¢ç fiber by up to 44 percent.*
Made from field or dent corn, QIRA¢ç is a key ingredient that will be used to make bio-derived LYCRA¢ç fiber. With 70% renewable content, this new fiber can be used in a wide range of applications including swimwear, denim, and diapers.
